I joined the second “Shiogama Daigomi” tour and experienced “fine tea, quality tableware, and delicious sushi!” On March 17th, 2012, the newly renovated Shiogama Tourism Products Information Center reopened.

Last Sunday, I went to Tashirojima Island, which is famous for cats. We joined a tour intended to monitor the grant project for promoting local foods and cultural exchange organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. I went to the Sendai station at 6:50 in the morning to board the bus for Ishinomaki where we later transferred to a ferry. A one-hour boat ride brought us to the port of Nitoda, on Tashirojima Island.
